I try to keep ZSRenn as positive as possible but something has become such a problem that I cannot stay silent on it any longer.
In what was once a lazy street, it now is chaos!Drivers with either no concern for others are constantly parking in such a manner in Kaiyin that they
This causes long lines of traffic stretching at times up to a km long. Of course, directly below housing, the drivers then start blowing their horns. In the instance this morning no sooner had the guards told one driver to park his car correctly another driver quickly took its place.
The other night returning home a driver swung around the angle parked car straight into my path to which I had to take extreme measures to avoid being mowed down.
So now I am going to start posting pictures of these cars and ask anyone who may know the car and the driver to please be more courteous. I also encourage others post here pictures of other drivers who act so antisocially and against the Chinese harmonious society.
Mainly these drivers are seated in the restaurant in the photographs, eating a Hong Kong breakfast, oblivious to the chaos they are creating outside and if anybody knows the restaurateur please point them to this forum!

At least this guy tried and successfully blocked off the footpath as well
At night they all come out to play
No sooner had this guy been moved on another took his place
An out of towner taking advise from the locals
Distance between these two cars was 4 meters. Barely enough for the 073 bus
Ha Ha Len, you finally cracked.I see this everywhere. Its just the normal way here.
In my new town its the same. Parking simply translated means. Stop the car anywhere. Any angle, any place, any direction.
Regardless if it blokes an ambulance or a road. Never matters. Just Park!
I hired a car and when for a road trip. On a 3 lane express way from Dongguan to Schenzhen a lady pulled her car up across the fast lane and the middle lane at a 45 degree angle. Traffic was traveling towards her at 100 to 120 KM an hour.
She then proceeded to get out of the car and get something out of the boot.
To this day I can not imagine what could possibly be so important to do this unbelievable crazy stunt.
I remember driving down the main street of Bowral one day and pulled down my sun visser only to have a huge Huntsman Spider drop into my lap. I cool as a cucumber just kept driving until I could pull over safely. I the of cause jumped out of the car like I was engulfed in flames.
I also love the situation when it starts to rain. In fast moving traffic they will simply lock up there motorbike and proceed to put up an umbrella. Really what is more dangerous. A few spots of rain or a huge truck coming at you at 60Ks an hour. Can never figure this out.
Sometimes I really wonder what they teach in the thousands of Driving Schools here.
The Crack came Monday night Gary! Got all up in the owners face! 18 months this has been going on for and no one lifts a finger and yes ambulances have been blocked!
You are so right Len. It is even worse on Woman's street near Walking Street. You should see the way they park there. I think it is mainly because parking is not needed to pass the drivers examination and they are not taught how to parallel park. Whatever is most convenient is always the best way. And you watch the driving instructor cars when they are not teaching, they don't follow their own teachings. Crazy! You should send this article to the ZS television station, they would run it!
Please do not use a civilised standard on China. Yes, we teach our children to be polite, to follow rules etc. But the fact is, you can not survive here by being a real gentleman and lady. Driving and parking in China is like driving in parking in safari in Africa. The law of jungle applies here very often, eg. cheap cars tend to give space to expensive cars, most ppl don't give a fk if a pedestrian is hit by a truck, luxury sports cars never put on their license plates etc. That's why there is a Chinese saying - Being on the road is like being in the mouth of tiger. Yes, it will take generations to catch up, but at this moment, please consider yourself in the wild wild west. lol
Very disappointed yesterday afternoon to see a foreigner abandon his car in the middle of the street in school rush hour.
Mr Burnt orange BMW pulled up and in short order Miss Black small car had angle parked leaving less than a lane in the street. I guess arrogance of drivers and stupidity is truly universal.
